Privacy Policy

These pages explain how RatingPlate works, where data comes from, and what happens when it is wrong.
They define the rules behind the live model and guide pages.

RatingPlate is a static website. We do not require accounts, logins, or checkout information to use the site.

Information we receive

When you browse the site, our hosting and delivery providers may receive standard technical data needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamp. We may also receive aggregate traffic reporting from our hosting provider and from Google Analytics 4. We do not operate a user-account system, checkout flow, or behavioral advertising stack.

Information you send us directly

If you email corrections@ratingplate.com, we and our email provider will receive your email address, message contents, and any information you choose to include. Please do not send sensitive information you do not want stored in normal business correspondence.

Third-party requests and embedded services

The site requests fonts from Google Fonts, loads Google Analytics 4 for aggregate traffic measurement, and may link to Amazon and other third-party sites. Those providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details, and the page that sent the request. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.

Microsoft Clarity

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. Affiliate links

Some pages contain Amazon affiliate links. When you click those links, Amazon may collect data under its own policies. We receive only the reporting needed to administer the affiliate relationship, not your Amazon account data.

Cookies and tracking

RatingPlate does not intentionally set first-party advertising or login cookies. Google Analytics 4 and other third-party services may set or read their own cookies or similar identifiers when their resources load or when you leave our site. Because we do not run cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.

Your choices and rights

If applicable law gives you rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, email corrections@ratingplate.com. Because we keep very little personal information, our ability to identify and process a request may be limited to correspondence records you provide.

Do Not Track and similar signals

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. We do not currently change site behavior in response to those signals; the site operates according to the practices described in this policy.

Children

RatingPlate is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site, hosting stack, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will change when we make material updates.
